Lake Griffin covers a surface area of about 9,290 acres and is part of the Harris Chain of Lakes.   The lake has a two lane concrete boat launch area on its west side.  Here anglers will get the opportunity to fish for channel catfish, largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, redear sunfish, yellow bullhead, redvreast sunfish, warmouth, longnose gar, sunfish, spotted sunfish, white catfish, brown bullhead, and florida gar.
