Lake Simcoe is a lake in Southern Ontario, Canada, the fourth-largest lake wholly in the province, after Lake Nipigon, Lac Seul, and Lake Nipissing. Originally called Ouentironk ("Beautiful Water") by Huron natives during the first European contact in the 17th century, it was also known as Lake Toronto until renamed by John Graves Simcoe, the first Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada, in memory of his father.

Simcoe County, Durham Region and York Region border the lake. The city of Barrie is located on Kempenfelt Bay, and Orillia is located at the entrance to Lake Couchiching. The watershed draining into the lake contains a population of roughly half a million people, including the northern portion of the Greater Toronto Area.

The town of Georgina lies along the entire south shore of Lake Simcoe and consists smaller residential towns and communities, including Keswick on Cook's Bay, Sutton, Jackson's Point, Pefferlaw, and Udora. The town of Innisfil occupies the western shore south of Barrie and north of Bradford.

Lake Simcoe is one of the worlds top Smallmouth lakes with average fish at 4.5lbs and many over 6lbs and holds the Canadian Record for biggest 5 bass fish limit in a tournament at almost 35lbs! It is also world famous for its Jumbo Perch Fishery and its title as the Ice Fishing Capital of Ontario for whitefish and lake trout.
