Little Pine Creek is formed by the confluence of Blockhouse Creek and Texas Creek, approximately 15.3 miles (24.6 km) upstream of Pine Creek. Blacks Creek joins Blockhouse Creek approximately 0.7 miles (1.1 km) above.
4.2 miles (6.8 km) of Little Pine Creek flows through Little Pine State Park. A dam on the creek has created a 94 acre (0.38 km²) lake for fishing, boating, and swimming.
Little Pine Creek enters Pine Creek in the deepest part of the Pine Creek Gorge, also known as the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, at the unincorporated village of Waterville.
