Peckerwood Lake was formed by Peckerwood Lake Dam on the Big La Grue Bayou in Prairie County, Arkansas, is privately owned and used for irrigation purposes. Construction of the dam was completed in 1942 and is property of Arkansas Irrigation Company.

Trolling minnows and jigs may be successful out here.  Chicken livers are a good bet for catfishing.
