Pickwick Lake is the reservoir created by Pickwick Landing Dam as part of the Tennessee Valley Authority. The lake stretches from Pickwick Landing Dam to Wilson Dam.Famous for smallmouth bass and Tennessee River Catfish, also biting year round are crappie, bluegill, white bass, stripes and sauger. Boat rentals, fishing piers, bank fishing and local guides are available. There is something for everyone at Pickwick, from the expert (some of the biggest tournaments are held here) to the novice. As Pickwick is located in three states, be certain to check license requirements. Valid TN Fishing license required.Pickwick Lake is the north end of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, which provides a water transportation route to the Gulf of Mexico.
