The South Fork State Recreation Area is a state park in the central part of Elko County, in northeastern Nevada in the western United States. Located 15 mi (24 km) south of the town of Elko, it is in the Central Nevada Region of Nevada State Parks.

 

The park is composed of a 1,650-acre (670 ha) reservoir impounding the flow of the South Fork of the Humboldt River, surrounded by 2,200 acres (890 ha) of marsh, meadowland, and hills. Facilities include a 25-site campground, a boat ramp, and a parking area near the South Fork Dam. The reservoir is known for its trophy-class trout and bass fishing.
