75-acre Toketee is a scenically forested reservoir on the upper North Umpqua. It offers good fishing for rainbow and brown trout and is home to an abundance of wildlife such as beaver, otter, great blue heron, kingfishers, ducks, geese, and bald eagles. Fishing the lake is not difficult, either from a boat or shore. The deepest waters are no more than 35 feet and are at the narrow section before the lake opens up near the dam. Bait is allowed, and ample numbers of fish are taken still fishing with night crawlers and PowerBait. Trolling is popular from canoes, rowboats, and float tubes. Fly anglers will find a fair number of rising fish feeding on mayflies and terrestrials in the summer.
