Alex Epperson:
So they talk about donkey sauce. Okay? I don't know what kind of donkey sauce that is, but that don't smell like no donkey to me. Not that I've ever smelled the donkey. I mean, I've smelled a few donkeys in my day. It is Oklahoma, we got donkeys down here, but that don't smell like no donkey. That smells like... That smells like bass candy.
Alex Epperson:
What's up everyone? I'm back here on the MONSTERBASS channel. I am Oklahoma's worst angler, Alex Epperson, and you know how we do it, we do a little cheap plug and we tell you about our channels with a link down over there in the description. Now, if you love MONSTERBASS, if you love catching monster bass, if you're signed up on MONSTERBASS, if you're thinking about signing up on MONSTERBASS, do me a solid, hit that subscribe button, smash the thumbs up, leave a comment down below, and tell me what you think about this month's exclusive bait for September.
Alex Epperson:
Now there's a whole bunch of baits coming out. Okay. We know how it is. MONSTERBASS packs in some of the best baits and the best quality bait, some of the best names that are out there in subscription tackle box services. I got to pick out my one favorite from this month, which is really tough, very tough, but this one's got a close place to my heart because I personally have been stretching out a little bit, doing things a little different, and going offshore fishing. Okay? Working some offshore brush piles, working a little bit deeper. That's why I want to choose this bait. That's why I want to talk to you guys about it today.
Alex Epperson:
So, coming exclusively in this month's box, at least for the south region, let's hope everyone else gets it, okay? From 13 Fishing, the donkey sauce makers themselves, we have got the BFF, best freaking friend when you're on that tough bite, the blunt force finesse worm. Okay. So this guy right here, six and a half inch finesse worm. Okay? You can see this worm is going to have a lot of action to it. What's really nice about it, in particular, they've got these little hook pockets in there, so you can really measure and see where you want to put your hook at. I hope that's picking up there. If not, I got some cool footage coming for you guys.
Alex Epperson:
Now, my favorite way of rigging these guys in particular is on a shaky head. I got a couple of shaky heads right here. I got a quarter ounce and I got a one eighth ounce. I'm a big proponent of one eighth ounce. I like lightweight stuff. I like the slow fall, especially during the summer. It's been great. With it starting to turn into fall, I'm going to go with a little bit of a heavier one, a faster fall. Okay? But what I'm going to do now is show you guys some footage of this on a shaky head.
Alex Epperson:
So with this worm, you can sit there, you can hop it, you can drag it, but look at the action that is in this worm. This thing is ridiculous. Little hops, little twitches, get that tail moving. Okay? Now they talk about this having max buoyancy, this worm does float. So what that's going to do is the weight of that hook is going to drag that down, but it's going to help that tail stay up just a little bit more and have a little bit of an extra action to it.
Alex Epperson:
(silence).
Alex Epperson:
So you guys saw the footage of the shaky head. It looks fantastic on a shaky head. Most of the time, finesse worms like this are meant for shaky heads. I want to show you one other thing here that I like to do. Besides a Texas rig, I mean I think I Texas rig literally everything. I love Texas rigging, but another one here is going to be a Neko rig. Okay? Let's go and roll that footage.
Alex Epperson:
So what I did here is I put the very tip of a one eighth ounce nail weight in there, just to help it drop a little bit faster. Now I know I don't have it on an O-ring, don't crucify me in the comments because there's no O-ring, I just stuck it in there into the worm just for this video. But check out the action on that fall. Okay? That nose goes head straight down, and that tail gets so much action. Hopping that around a little Neko rig on the BFF from 13 Fishing, that is going to be a killer bait.
Alex Epperson:
(silence).
Alex Epperson:
So guys, like I said, one of the exclusive baits this month in September's box, 13 Fishing BFF, full pack because we do full packs. If you're still here and you haven't yet hit that subscribe button, smashed that thumbs up, go check out my channel, drop me a sub, drop me a comment, let me know that you watched me on MONSTERBASS and now you're on my channel. I appreciate every single one of you guys. I'll see you next time we're on the water.
