Chad Pipkens:
What's going on guys? Chad Pipkens here at Bassmaster Elite Series Pro. This week I'm here helping out unveil one of these boxes from Monsterbass. Every month they got something sweet coming at you, and this month is going to be no different. And I hear it's all Lunkerhunt products, so I'm excited to check this thing out and see what we got cooking.

Chad Pipkens:
First off the get, we got the Lunkerhunt Turbine Buzzbait, black and blue standard dark color buzz bait. Looks like it's got a little clacker up on there to help make a little extra racket to call those fish out. Big fan of buzz baits, covering water up shallow, post-spawn. My favorite time to throw those, any time around the spawn really, those fish get up shallow looking around, and they often suspend post-spawn, so great time to catch them up shallow. Buzz bait, top water strikes. You can't go wrong with that.

Chad Pipkens:
Following it up with the Lunkerhunt Lunker Stick. Day in and day out, soft plastic stick worm, probably catches more fish on our elite series tour than any other bait out there. This is a great bait to follow up with that buzz bait. Always have one of these rigged up. Anytime you're throwing a buzz bait, fish comes up and misses, you follow it up with a wacky worm, can't be beat, period. This kind of color, probably going to be just throwing around the spawn, that white pink chartreuse bubble gum. That's definitely the time to throw that kind of stuff, that weird stuff around the spawn, those colors get them agitated.

Chad Pipkens:
Outside of that, probably green pumpkin. Speaking of green pumpkin, looks like we got a Lunker Stick's little brother here. Lunker Stick, it's just the little finesser. Nice three pack here, actually comes with a quarter ounce jig head, little weedless jig head. And if you think these only catch small fish, you're wrong, way wrong. Two years ago, or maybe last year, Chickamauga, Ned Rig, little chunk of a Lunker stick actually, caught a seven two big bass at lake Chick and had big bass for three days. A seven two ate a little tasty morsel, kind of like us, I [inaudible 00:01:56] eating a little chip or a peanut or something. We still do it. It's good stuff.

Chad Pipkens:
Moving along, oh man, this is what the Lunkerhunt's all about. They started their frogs. This little popping frog here, you can zoom in on that deal. Little bad boy. This isn't a big tournament frog, this is a fun, fun frog. Take it around the house, take it around the pond, tie it to a spinning reel, medium, heavy spinning reel, 30 pound braid. You can throw this thing a mile on a spinning rod, go have some fun at a pond.

Chad Pipkens:
Any cover, shallow overhanging trees, lily pads, grass, this is going to get it done. It's got great hooks on it. Good hookup. You can have a good time. Nice thing about it, give it to a kid, tie it on, they're going to be hooked for life because they're not going to be hooked in trees, not going to be hooked on grass. Just going to be hooked on those bass. So, fun way to get kids hooked on fishing. Let's roll. Jerk bait, another great, great product here guys. Jerk bait. I'm a big Northern guy. We throw a jerk bait pretty much year round up here. This looks like a deep diving one, maybe 10 to 12 feet. Get down, chase those suspended fish pre-spawn, or those fish in the summer, they're suspended around timber. If you guys are down south, that's a big player down there.

Chad Pipkens:
Jerk bait's a great way to catch fish year round and under all sorts of conditions, post frontal, high skies. That little quick stop and go in that pause, a lot of time that can trigger those fish into biting when maybe a crank bait or a buzz bait might not be a good choice, because maybe they're just going to follow those. Good way to catch them on the old field jerk bait. Ooh, we don't need this one. This man'll have to pocket this one. A little Lunkerhunt, big eye tail spin. Now this is a bait suspended fish, huge. I'm fishing my fifth classic coming up here, Lake Hartwell spotted bass, they would choke this thing, and the drains and guts spotted bass, fishing around boat dock, suspended fish. This can be a player. It's got a nice little spinner on the backside to throw out a little bit of flash, a single treble hook, half ounce, probably throw this thing from here to Canada. Unless you live in Canada, then you be throwing it from here back to Michigan. So, definitely a good way to cover some water and put some fish in the boat.

Chad Pipkens:
Oh, the last thing we got in here is the Lunkerhunt Bait Shifter Series. You guys can zoom in on that. About a four inch swim bait, green pumpkin. Actually come with a hook here, single hook, so you can pre-rig. Super, super easy sweet setup. And again, I'm throwing this thing around grass, probably throwing around 20 pound, [inaudible 00:04:21] carbon, maybe just straight rate if it's thick grass. But just winding this thing along, stop and go, comes with a single jig head. Watch how easy this is. Through the back slot, little pressure, they got a nice little hole up on the front side for you to pop this thing through, boom, you're ready to go.

Chad Pipkens:
It doesn't get any easier than that. Nice sharp hook. Again, swim bait Lunkerhunt Bait Shift Series. Great way to cover some water on the grass, shallow, deep, whatever you need to do. Stop and go, put that bait in front of those fish, make them bite, have some fun with it. And I think that's all we got this month from the guys over at MonsterBass and Lunkerhunt. You guys check them out. They got tons of good stuff come out every month. Just lots of unique products. A lot of times you don't know what you don't know till you get it put in your face. Then you put that thing on, go out there and play around with it. That's how you get used to and start liking new baits and new techniques. Check us out guys.
