Paying attention to the little things can make a big difference. An often overlooked detail when fishing a lipless crankbait is bottom composition. Bottom composition is the makeup of a riverbed or lake bottom. Does water flow briskly over rounded humps of gravel? Is there a rocky ledge nearby with a vertical break? Few bass fishing lures are better for covering a wide variety of water than the lipless crankbait. And with a few subtle adjustments, you can throw your lipless at just about any bottom that comes your way.
