Nails on a chalkboard. To bass, that’s what a buzzbait must sound like. Anyone who has witnessed the unbridled violence visited upon these squeaking, squealing lures can attest. As the metal-winged noisemaker straight-lines it back to the angler, a bass attacks from below, sending a spray of water, and sometimes the lure, skyward. For this reason, bass often miss a buzzbait. But, there are a few things you can do to up your odds of hooking up.
