Why Region Matters When Selecting A Fishing Subscription Box

When we created MONSTERBASS, we did so under the premise that region, season and color matters when we're selecting the baits to put in our boxes. And if it's so important, why don't Mystery Tackle Box or Lucky Tackle Box make an effort to take this into account?  There are many reasons, so let's dive in right now and discuss them.

When you walk into a store like Bass Pro Shops or you go online to Tackle Warehouse to purchase fishing tackle, are you looking for fishing tackle that will deliver results now or results in 6 months? More often than not, we're picking baits that we can use right now.  We live in a society where we want immediate results, so more often than not, we're selecting baits that we can use right now.

That being said the baits you're using right now where you live, may not be the same baits that someone else would use.  Why?  It's simple.  Think stages of the spawn.  The conditions and stages of the spawn you're faced with in Michigan right now are different than what your buddy in Florida is seeing and because of that you'd both pick different baits.

When the water is colder and bass are lethargic, you need baits that can dive deeper and present themselves as an easy meal for bass.  You're not throwing hollow body frogs.  You're throwing crank baits.  Makes sense right?

So then why our competitors like Mystery Tackle Box and Lucky Tackle Box not break the country into regions and send you baits that are specific to the area of the country where you live and fish?  Simple.  It's not easy.

Mystery Tackle Box tried to do this a few years ago when they came out with MTB Local.  It lasted about 3-4 months and then went away.  Why... because it's a lot easier to just send everyone a box of random baits and call it a surprise.

There's a ton of work that goes into making sure the baits we select for each region will work for the time of year that we're sending them.  In fact, it takes us nearly 10 times more effort to create regional boxes than it would to just send you a random box of baits like MTB & LTB do.

So why do we make regional boxes at MONSTERBASS?  Easy... because we believe that you'd rather spend your money on baits that work right now, vs a box of random ones that may not.  We believe you want to catch more fish and that you want baits that will help you accomplish that.

You now have a choice when it comes to fishing subscription boxes.  Would you rather sign up and receive a box of random baits or a box of baits that are hand picked for the area of the country where you live and fish?

If you're interested in trying MONSTERBASS for yourself, I'll give you a code to save yourself $10 off your first purchase.  Use code LUCKY10 at checkout.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this.  Have a great day.
